Having started my fitness career as a Personal Trainer in 2002, I soon realized that in order to teach clients effectively they needed to understand good alignment, posture and correct movement patterns to reach their full potential.
This led me to the Pilates Method and so I trained with Body Control Pilates qualifying in 2004. In 2007 I moved from Hampshire, where I had been working with osteopaths and physiotherapists to Ripley, Surrey. After spending 4 years furthering my training and work experience in a reputable and prestigious studio, I now run small group classes near Guildford and, for clients requesting a more bespoke programme, private sessions are held at my fully equipped studio in Ripley, Surrey, using the reformer. wunda chair, baby chair and the cadillac. Continually developing my skills with workshops and courses, here in the UK and abroad, gives me the confidence and knowledge to pass this knowledge on to my clients. Whilst visiting my daughter, now living in California, allows me valued family time, I am also able to book some training hours with the most experienced and inspiring teachers in the Pilates world.
I get great satisfaction from teaching and working with a mixed ability clientele, seeing results and bringing people a quality of life they may have thought was not possible. With patience, perseverance and commitment, your goals can be achieved.
Although I am an experienced Body Control Pilates Teacher, I have also undertaken extensive training exclusively related to exercise referral & low back pain to become a Back4Good Practitioner & a Level 4 Advanced exercise instructor. This blends extremely well with my qualification in Sports and Remedial Massage to offer a thorough understanding of the muscular and skeletal workings of the body.
